Henna dying really blonde hair black?

I have extremely light/bright blonde hair in the front part of my head. It's partly natural, but partly chlorine bleached (I'm a competitive swimmer). I want black hair, but I don't want it permanent. Will black henna dye come out of the porous light blonde hair? Or will it be a funky grey color when it wears away?

Definitely the funky gray color. Henna is not a good way to color your hair, especially if you ever plan on getting, or have had, chemical services to your hair. The two don't mix. If you are naturally blonde, why would you want such a drastic change? It wouldn't look natural. A light to medium brown would look nice, and you could request a semi-permanent color at the salon which is much less damaging on your hair than permanent and it will gradually fade.

im a swimmer too and i think that the black would completely make your hair a 'funky grey" color. i have blonde hair, but i would get blonde highlights and see if it makes things better. or you can do a little "test piece" on a strand of hair that is easily hidden. then you can find out the results before you dye your whole head. check out this website:http://hennaking.com/henna_hair_dye1.htm

Henna is only one color and will dye your hair red. It will be permanent.

Black henna is not really henna and can be a dangerous chemical.

I think everything you use to dye your hair black will be permanent.
