A friend put a home colour in my hair and it came out bluey grey, had it done before it was perfect.

It's probably interacting with the color that is already there. Often dyes don't work on top of each other. I'd try going fairly dark to cover any discoloration you have now. Maybe go to a salon for a professional dye job.

If it is a real disaster, i would fork out the money and visit the hairdresser. I had this happen once when my hair turned orange. I went to the hairdresser and they first put on a treatment to ensure the colours wouldn't react with one another and then i had to go a little darker for a while.

if you go to a hairdresser, it may be exspemsive, but if you dye it yourself again, your hair will be totally messes, visit your hairdresser, they will see if your hair is strong enough to take the colour being stripped, the hairdresser will advise that you do not dye your hair for at least a few days as this can seriously damage your hair, get the colours stripped, go normal for a while, and then try dying it will a colour you no cant go too wrong gl

If you dislike the colour, wait at least 7 days before you apply another colour. You must leave the mix in the hair for the exact time as it says on the pack or the colour intensity or shade will vary a lot and you will not be happy.

GOOD LUCK!!!

im a hairdresser and i belive u was trying to dye ur hair blond if so this happened because u either used a blond which was ash or silver ash is a gray and silver is a purple these nutralise any red tones out of ur hair (red tones cause ur hair to go orange) correct me if im wrong but ur roots should be a ok colour but the rest will have gone bluey/grey because it had no red tones to neutralise because u did that last time u coloured it

wash her hair with fairy washing up liquid it is so concentrated that it will lift the colour but you have to do it a few times doesn't come out in one go + makes your hair feel like straw so have a good conditioner handy if that doesn't work she'll have to go to the hairdressers and get the dye striped from her hair and re colured

good luck

happened to me once and it's horrible cause you cant hide it

This sounds strange but has worked for me in the past, on my own hair and when customers had the same problem,

buy a tempory red hair colour put it on your hair then dye it a light/dark natural brown colour,

After care advice: use alot of conditioner, all the colours will dry your hair.
