try using henna haircolor, it is natural and won't dry or damage your hair.

or try an ammonia free hair dye, so it won't get dry and damaged.

Whatever you do DO NOT use henna, if you do and then try to use another "normal" colour you can totally destroy your hair. I would personally recommend going to the hairdressers and getting a deep conditioning treatment, It shouldn't cost too much. When you colour your hair at home you are always taking the risk of damaging your hair because instead of putting it only on the re-growth you end up putting it on all your hair when the rest only needs it for about 5 Min's, just to even out the result. So if you can afford to spend lots of money at a salon apply the colour carefully and only to the roots, leave for 20 Min's and then spread to the rest of your hair and leave for 5-10Min's. Make sure you use a shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair , and also make sure you use a repair mask twice a week to keep your hair in perfect condition... Also when you rinse conditioner or a mask from your hair make sure you do it with COLD water and leave your hair to dry naturally after a mask...... do all this and you will look super sleek and sexy in no time!!

I home color my hair and this is what I use to keep my hair in excellent condition. In fact my hair stylist always complements what good condition my hair is in.

You can get these products at Sally's Beauty Supply.

***Aphogee Treatment for Damaged Hair (also has shampoo %26amp; conditioner)...this is a deep conditioner. if you do not have a dryer like the salon's use then get your stylist to do this treatment to your hair because it gets hard and if not used properly can break your hair.

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT. You will love the results.

My stylist charges me $10 and I bring the product. I will warn you depending on your hair length this does take about two hours, BUT WELL WORTH IT. Have this done about every three months for a year then once every six months from then on.

***PUREOLOGY shampoo %26amp; conditioner for color treated hair is the BEST.

***LOREAL EXCELLENCE is what I use to color with. I put it on the roots only and the last 10 mintues with my gloves use my hands to pull the color through the rest of my hair. My hair is down to my bra strap.

***Vitamins with 1,000 mg of all items such as zinc, potassium, calcium and etc.

Have a professional color your hair, professional hair color is less damaging to your hair. "Box" colors can damage your hair. And please don't use Henna. Henna is not compatible with a lot of hair colors. Once you use Henna you will not be able to use a lot of other types of hair color. And IF you have used Henna please always let Salon Stylist know before any service that you have Henna in your hair.

Hi get a hairdresser to show you on a colour chart what low-lights they can offer you ,this is a softer approach then a full head and a nice affect and you don't get roots

I use Garnier Nutrisse Natea (number 4.6 - Morello Cherry) and have done for years, I coloured it last week and my hairdreser said my hair was softer than anyone elses!

Give it a go!
