Why do women who have naturally fair/mid brown hair dye it BLACK or dark BROWN when they go grey?

It look horrible, and the grey roots grow through with DAYS...

I have no idea... they look a bit daft; and men too, because their skin goes pasty when they get old, so they look like 60 year old goths!

No idea. It's just as bad when women with mid toned hair get ash/cool toned highlighting - it looks like MORE grey hair after they 're done! I think people should stick in their natural range so that it doesn't clash with their skin etc...
