Should i get a perm? If so, what type? I have hair down to the bottom of my shoulder blades that's thick and brown at the moment. What would be best? My hair is already curly, but not nice curly. If i do curl it, no matter how much spray i use it doesn't stay. Thanks for any advice.

we have similar situations. my hair is curly underneath, but not nice curly:frizzy and kinky. getting a layered cut and letting it grow out some would be good.there are products from redken that play up curliness and define curls, which might be what you need.if you really want a chemical heat treatment, you might not want to go with more than a body wave.
