Hi guy's. i have been colouring my greying hair dark brown using a permanent colour, i have a couple of inches of grey/brown roots now and want to change my colour. i was watching monster in law tonight with jenifer lopez and i really like the colour of her hair, it's a kind of caramel colour (dark blonde/light brown). what i want to know is as some of my hair is coloured with a permanent dye and the roots are mostly grey but with some of my natural colour(brown). how do i change my colour to the colour i want? any help recieved, ppreciated. thanks . :)Oh by the way, i'm not an old granny cuz i got grey hair. i started going grey when i was 16:(

You do need to go to a good salon really. They will probably suggest foiled highlights and will use 2-3 different colours on your hair. The beauty of highlights is the re-growth isnt too harsh because its not a solid colour and if your hair grows fast you can go in just to have flashes (the roots) done.

Its definately not the cheapest option but well worth it. A good salon will charge anything up to 鎷?20 for a full head of highlights but every second time you go you should get a way with a half head which is obviously cheaper.

It's not all that expensive at certain places, and believe me someitmes if you combine two different colors the piroxide mixes wrong and will change your hair color really well..colorful.

you know i love that color.years ago i told my hair dresser i want the color of when you put cream in coffee. i got it now. but the secret is you have to do it pro. i have two colors bittersweet and blonde. and its comes out caramel. i don;t think i would try this at home. of course if you hair grows fast you'll have to go more often. mine grows really slow. so i only go for touch ups about twice a year, and i pay 110.00 for each time. at aveda's.

Your best bet would probably be to see a professional colorist the first time, because going lighter can be difficult on your hair. If you do that, you can ask them while they're there what you would have to do to get similar results at home, and after that, do it for yourself.

don't feel bad about the greying when you were sixteen, i have a feeling thats going to be me veryyyyy soon, my dad was grey at 18. :-(
