You could bleach your hair blonde and then keep when it grows out grey it wont be so noticeable. You will look years older with grey hair, why do you want grey hair?

Just have it coloured a shade lighter each time you have it coloured and have a regular trim to cut off the ends. Eventually you will cut off the very dark. It will need to be a very gradual process. I know having your hair coloured is a chore because I had to go through all of this.

I have to agree that grey hair does make one look older because since I left mine to go grey no-one has been surprised at my age, although they were beforehand. I would still have mine coloured but it went much thinner after having cancer and I don't want to damage it anymore that it already is.
