My hair has been bleached / tinted and went blue on the ends, what can i do?

I a had tint put through my hair as highlights and there was a strange grey tinge to it. So i had it done again but with bleach to lift it, but all that happened is that the roots are lighter while the ends have gone blue. The hairdresser then used a brown tint highlight over some areas to 'merge' it and cover the blue but it did nothing. I dont feel that she really knew what she was doing. She didnt ask if i had used anything on my hair ( I havent for 6 months and my hair was cut from long to chin legnth, before that i had used a permanent hair dye which must be what the reaction is caused by). The salon refuses to take responsability, I dont want to go back for more massacres so what can I do?

it is very rare for this to happen . a reaction to what you had before wouldnt have caused this . all i can think of is that the hair that turned grey then blue must be compleatly knackered before colouring . its absorbed tone of the tint and bleach(bleach is a light colour but the actual colourof the dye isnt blue it almost never comes out blue) . and wont hold the depth . dont colour it again it wont help no matter who does it until you have a good cut . dont blame the salon colouring works on science like everything else . the colour should fade by itself . untill then you could put a mild wash in wash out colour on in a gold/light warm blonde or a colour moose which should help . However, the colourist should have noticed the condition of your hair . Be polite and ask the manager if you can have a free conditioning treatment and a trim with another stylist .

I would not go back there. If they didn't give me a refund, I would call the bank and dispute the charge. Then I would go to a good place and get REAL help. I might get a wig if it was not fixable. Tell everyone to stay away from that awful place!

Firstly...demand your money back...don't let them try to fix it again. Then take the money and go to a decent salon where they should be able to fix it or at least make it better!

put some tomato ketchup on the ends leave for 20 minutes and rinse off shampoo after and it will be gone

You do know, that if you go to a salon/hairdressers, and have your hair cut and are not happy with it. You can refuse to pay. Its like an unwritten law, lol. People just pay though so they dont appear to be rude, lol.

But complain about them, wriet them a complaint letter or something, you might be vouchers =] (which you can sell on, hehe)
