I have used Natural Instinctsit for 3 years. I do think it is gentle. the conditioner is heavy but effective.

the colors are true to the box. You can experiment with different shades summer and winter.My gray only shows when it grows out at the roots.

its gentle and not hard on hair and lasts really long

you should never use an over the counter product most have metallic salts in them and besides most people who use over the counter usually spend a lot at the salon getting it fixed because they are not trained and don't know about levels tones shades underlying pigments and application. in the end it may cost less and benefit you more to have a professional do it and pick the color line
