My bf's hair changed colors over one week, and he didnt dye it. Help plz.?

my bf is 22 yrs old and he had black hair all his life, then he started to notice that his hair changed its color from pitch black to almost redish brownish in about a week, and we both know for a fact its not a dye from shampoos or any similar chemicals, cuz hes got some grey hairs and that hasnt change its color...only his black hairs....can anyone tell me how could this be possible? and why?? will it go back to normal?

that does sound pretty weird and never heard of this b4, and since u said hes got white hair and its still white then i dont think its possible to think of him dying it, pretty pretty weird, Good luck! sorry i wasnt much of a help

lol, Sounds like me. My hair changed from a deep reddish brown to almost dishwater blond in about a month.

There are several ways this could happen. 1) It was dyed, whether intentionally or by coming into contact with some type of chemical. 2) He is going into the sun more frequently lately (the sun bleaches hair, though it tans skin). Or 3) It is a natural genetic phenomena, like my hair color trick.

This kind of thing just happens sometimes. My hair has done some other silly stuff too. Up until just before my 10th birthday, my hair was straighter than the mathematical line. I curled it for picture day when I was in 4th grade, and no matter what I did, for years it wouldn't straighten! Then, when I was 16, it just started to go from ringlets to heavy waves and now, it's almost completely straight again.

The fact is Hydrogen peroxide don't change grey hairs but can be found in some hair products and if he is using some kind of lightening shampoo or has changed the water in which he washes it this could be where the problem arises... the sun and certain chemicals can change color

My boyfriends and my own hair changes color on a yearly basis, not by chemicals, but by what's known as 'sun bleaching'

Hair has color, like our own skin. Which means it gets affected by the sun. My bf's hair goes from deep brown to copper to blonde tips cause he works in the sun all the time. I am an auburn brunette that turns redder in the summer.

Yes we used to dye our hair long ago, but not in the last 2-3 years. It may or may not change back to it's normal color. If you like to try to ge it back, try a cold wash of double brewed coffee in his hair and let it stain it back to it's color, it won't last long. But it's a start
