Is hair an inanimate object?

this week at my school we're having spirit week. tomorrow is inanimate object day. we arent able to wear sweatpants to school, so i was thinking oh how i can get away with it tomorrow. im thinking about wearing all grey and claim to be a fallen split ended grey hair from an older balding person. my mom says its inanimate but my dad says hes not sure. some body solve this for me!

Is hair an inanimate object?

Yes. Hair is inanimate.

Webster's defines inanimate as:

1 : not animate: a : not endowed with life or spirit %26lt;an inanimate object%26gt; b : lacking consciousness or power of motion %26lt;an inanimate body%26gt;

Notice they even indicate that a body that is no longer alive is considered inanimate. Hair is not living tissue, no life or spirit.

I say, go be as hairy as you want to be. I think it's very original.
