my hair is intense red half way down where its grew out an the other half is brown with few grey hairs

I have dyed my hiar about 6 times. The first time I dyed it, it was very red. Now it's brown. You can dye it brown, but it will have some red tint to it still. Try dying it with semi-permanent, and then again with permanent a month later. Try to use a brown wiith no cool or warm tones to it, and use the same brown both times.
